whats the consenus say about trying to make my stock ptu work, its intermitent now, or install the twin power unit? this all started with me removing all of the green corrosion at the 6 and 7 pin connectors at the harnesses leading in and out of the stock ptu. they resembled a f.i. connector. the corrosion was so bad and the cleaning seemed to displace connector material i decided to eliminate the multi-pin conns by meticulosly stripping, soldering and tape each joint. this worked ok. then i proceeded to the other conn. all of this in the name of corrosion. the car starts intermittently now. do i need to give up and buy the twin power or will percerverance eventually pay off? first post, sorry for the ramble.
